This button will open an explanatory dialog box which prompts you to enter the username/@ of your desired account to be tracked.
Upon entering the chosen username, assuming the account is tracked in our database you will then receive the opportunity to track their follows.
The recent changes to the handling of the twitter API have meant that its simply not possible for us to openly monitor any chosen account, we have curated the most valuable accounts that we believe are useful as potential 'alpha' indicators for our database.
Abuse Prevention: Without limitations, malicious users could exploit the bot to track accounts for harassment, doxing, or other harmful activities. By imposing restrictions, we mitigate the potential for misuse and maintain safety for both the bot and its users.
User Experience: Allowing users to track any account they want could lead to a flood of irrelevant or spammy accounts being tracked. This could clutter the UI and make it harder for users to find the accounts they genuinely care about. A limit ensures a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.
Choosing to track followings will add this account to the 'Tracked Notable Accounts' list which is personal to you. You will now be notified whenever this account follows a new project!
